This project is still in its early stages. In 2020 Korea Forest Service will conduct a feasibility study that will be used for the basis for preparing project activity plans.
Scope of the project would be :
Establishing a forest and land fire monitoring system as a pilot project in Jambi and/or South Sumatra Province, which is fire-prone areas;
Supporting the establishment of a forest and land fire response framework by linking the project to Indonesia’s national forest and land fire monitoring system, which is currently being implemented;
Building Human Capacity: Improving the expertise of human resources in responding to forest and land fires;
Modernizing Forest and Land Fire Equipment: Promoting the efficiency in extinguishing forest and land fires by distributing cutting-edge smart equipment in the prevention and control of forest and land fires.
