The project has been jointly implemented
by the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute (KoFPI) and the Indonesian state’s
own forestry enterprises Perum Perhutani since February 29, 2012. The main
purposes of this trial project are to establish a superior sapling supply
network and biomass production system to create biomass forest.
Project Period :
The period of the project is: 2013-2022
Project Location :
The project is located at Grobogan District, Central Java Province, about 1.5 hours driving from Semarang, the capital of Central Java Province.
Project Activities :
- Development of trial biomass plantation, using Gliricidia (Gliricidia sepium) with the total area 2,000 Hectares;
- Development nursery,
- Capacity building.
